My First Blog Post As Peace Love Boss

by Angie on May 11, 2010

Dear Friends and Fans of Peace Love World,

Today we are beginning our first real attempt to blog.  Sure, we’ve had this blog for quite some time, but it’s been neglected (poor, little blog!) and all the attention has been on Facebook.  Although you may think EVERYONE is on Facebook, that’s actually false. There are some people (who shall remain nameless, LN) who simply refuse to join.  But we don’t want them to feel left out of the Peace and Love movement so now we begin to blog. We will continue to love and cherish our Facebook friends and fans but we needed just a tad more writing space to continue spreading the peace and love.

My name is Angie and I am Peace Love Boss. What does that mean? Well, how much time do you have? I work at Peace Love World to oversee just about all areas of the company.  It’s no small undertaking. But I have a great team of people here and we all have one goal – to execute Alina’s vision. You probably know Alina Villasante is the creator and visionary of Peace Love World. It’s her concept brought to life by a group of passionate people. Her name is stamped on the back of all our products with her soon to be famous quote, “Love is not something you look for, love is something you become.”

You’ll get to know Alina personally through this blog in the very near future. In fact, you will get to know a few of our team members but I won’t spoil the surprises just yet.  I will do my best to write about the day to day goings on as well as the fun and excitement that awaits us each day.  We just never really know what to expect on any given day. I’m excited to share that with you!

Gosselin boys in Peace, Happiness, and Chaos! For my first blog entry, today was a good day.  We started the morning off with a “spotted” call from Alina’s daughter, Mia.  The Gosselin kids came out in “In Touch” magazine with our t-shirt on! We were so excited I sent Rocky to the store to buy the magazine (the only weekly I don’t have a subscription, of course).  It was a great pic of Joel in the “I am Happiness” tee.  I know Kate is controversial but you gotta love her kids! They are what make her show so popular and we love them.

Later that day we had a meeting with Ted Lucas, founder of Slip-n-Slide Records.  He’s a pretty cool guy, very down to earth, and he came to check out Peace Love World (his wife really likes our stuff!).  Now you’d think that was a pretty cool day, right? Well it gets even better! Moments later Alina received an email from Nicole Scherzinger’s assistant!  The reason for the email is that Nicole really likes our stuff and how can she get more pieces? Hello, are you kidding me????  We love Nicole and we know she is going to win “Dancing with the Stars”!  Honey, your t-shirts are in the mail!

I hope you have enjoyed our first “official” blog with the inside scoop at Peace Love World. The goals is to share some of the insights as to what we are about and how we get to where we are going. Are we 100% sure where that is? No, not exactly, but we are having fun on the way!

Talk to you soon!

Angie

Do you know the Gosselin children were filmed for five years without proper work permits from the PA Dept of Labor and received no individual compensation for that work? You really shouldn't be so overjoyed to see them wearing your clothes - I expect you'll see a lot of unhappy faces wearing your clothes when they resume the intrusive filming into their lives.

It's too bad - your company has cool stuff that I'm sure my daughter would love. Unfortunately I can't support a company that encourages children being filmed in reality tv. You just lost a customer.

  • Susan, we understand your concern for the children. Our mission is to spread love and happiness through our clothes. Peace Love World in no way supports exploitation of children.
