I am GRATEFUL for the people in my life. I know many people who are less fortunate than I am however, they do not wallow in sorrow or pity. I learn so much from them every day and am fortunate for their friendship and guidance enriching my life. Their life lessons have taught me not to take anything for granted.

    • Thank youJanette, yes…being fortunate is being in the abundance of the wealth of people who give of themselves without expecting anything in return.

  • I am grateful for my LIFE and everything and everyone in it. There's too much to list, but I am grateful for it all.

    • Thank you Niki for being the first to comment. Yes, LIFE is a big thing to be grateful for.

  • Christy Favata

I am grateful the the abundance blessings in my life. A wonderful husband, two beautiful and healthy boys, and a fabulous career as a 1st grade teacher!!!!

  • For most of my life I have suffered from depression, although I tried to hide my real feelings from those around me. My first year of college, I hit an all time low. I went through a lot, and I mean a lot physically, emotionally and spiritually. I felt that my life had spun completely out of control and I had no way of fixing things. During these moments my family and my friends, and even my college professors made sure I knew I was not alone. I am grateful to know them, to have them in my life. I am grateful that they showed me that life is wonderful and that Love can overcome anything!

I am grateful to say that today I feel healed by their love. I know it sounds corny, but there isn't a day that goes by where I don't wake up grateful for all the Universe has given me, even those hard times. “You can't appreciate the sweet without the sour.” So, yeah, I am just grateful for life and love!

    • Lola, thank you for the courage to say this. Depression is a very difficult thing to deal with, and many people silently retreat. So glad you reached out to your family and friends…Sending you lots of love.<3

  • Jacqui White

I've been out of work for 20 months and it seems as if there's no end in sight. I'm grateful for dance. Dance has gotten me through the most difficult times in my life. I had a second foot surgery in 2008 on my right foot and it was a struggle to get back to dancing again. I still dance even though it causes me pain. I'm grateful to have it to help manage my stress level right now with unemployment, a mortgage, car payment and such. Dance has given me so much throughout my life. I will always be so grateful for what it's given me – the grace to continue on painful feet.

    • Wow Jaqui, at least you are doing your passion to keep yourself going. It is amazing that you keep doing it with the pain…Congratulations and wishing you lots of very, very positive thoughts so you find a job soon.

  • Vanessa_Iglesias

I'm grateful for waking up this morning, for the opportunity to say that I am on my way to work, for my parents who have put me through college even when times were tough, for my mom who two years ago had to undergo emergency surgery due to cancer, for my AMAZING Fiancé who each and everyday shows me nothing but love and makes me believe in true love, for my annoying little brother for showing me that anyone can overcome life's challenges, and most importantly to all those who make life all that special. Because of all those previously mentioned and my amazing family and friends I can truly say that “I am Happy” “I am at Peace” and “I am eternally GRATEFUL !!”

    • Yes Vanessa, we can't take anyone that is close to our lives for granted…even if they irk us sometimes. Thank you for your thoughts.

  • Lisa K.

I think of at least 3 things I am grateful for each day, because all at once would just be too much! Since there are so many things to be grateful for (which would take too much space & time to write out), I thought I'd share one of my favorite quotes on the topic:
“When you are grateful fear disappears and abundance appears.” — Anthony Robbins

Thank you PLW for reminding us that there is greatness all around, and for keeping us all looking forward with such positivity & love.

    • Yes…It's about more people contributing to the betterment of this world, no matter how small or big. Love that Anthony Robbin quote. Thanks for sharing!

  • I am grateful for just being alive and having friends and family that are always there to support me. I am grateful for everything God has given to me. ☮♥(:

    • Amanda…alive and breathing…waking up to life every morning is a gift. Love your peace and heart sign. How did you do that? 🙂

  • I'm grateful for my amazing, beautiful, healthy family of 4.

  • Jen

I'm grateful for wine because after stressful day sometimes all it takes is a glass to calm my mind and reflect on the good things the day brought my way.

I am battling some really bad social anxiety, and I am so grateful that I have people who understand my situation and are a great support when I start to get anxious. Just knowing they won't judge me when I get weird in crowds, and such, takes the edge off 🙂 Scarbucks, on twitter.

    • I would just say that that means you are very sensitive….it's good that you can acknowledge it and therefore work towards making it better.

  • Katie Hamilton

I am grateful that I have people in my life that make me want to be a better person. They encourage me and give me the motivation to keep going on even my harder days. So many people do not have this, and I am so blessed to have loved ones in my life that have made me the way that i am! 🙂

    • Because of that motivation and inspiration, you will always be able to give back. Thanks for sharing.

  • Bia

I am grateful for everything my parents have done for me and my brother. They love us and provide us with a roof over our heads and food on the table while so many people in this world unfortunately don't have these privileges. I can't thank them enough.

  • I am grateful for having family who is always by my side in times of need. They are the people who help me get back on my feet always, always, always no matter what it is if its an injury ,a mental block, or even when it comes to simple things when it comes to teenager stuff, there always there. Family is forever and the memories are priceless.

  • I am grateful for having Cheerleading and Dance in my life. Cheerleading and dance are currently on my mind 24/7, I even dream about it! I love how I always push myself to do better, proving others wrong who didnt believe in me, and inspire others to do what some cant even possibly do. Some of us dont relize it but thousands of little girls would love to learn to dance or cheer, but the family just cant aford it just for various reasons, and honsetly thats another reason why i am grateful(:

    • Never give up on your dreams and passion. And yes be grateful for the family that supports you!

  • I am grateful to be able to give back to my community in every way possible, going to soup kitchens and cooking meals for the homeless, and just being able to hear a man say,” God Bless You” its truely touching and I am so grateful to have experienced that.

I am grateful for everything in my life. A loving family, opportunities, adventures, support. My parents give so much to me and i am grateful for their love and support that they give me for everything i do and every decision i have made in the past few months. They support my dancing tremendously and encourage me to always to my best and never give up. Without them, i would not be where i am in my life today. I am so grateful for everything i have. I am grateful that i can share the amazing art of dance with people. I AM GRATEFUL! ☮♥☺

    • Our parents gave us life..and for this we must always be grateful.

  • Idanceaks

i am thankful for friends, family, dance, life, love, opportunities, adventures, happiness, health and much much more! there is SO much i am grateful for that words just cant describe!

    • So true…Sometimes the true words of the heart are indescribable.

  • I’m grateful for the hard times, because they taught me to enjoy every little I got. Every time I fell down, I learned how to get up.Every time I got slapped, I did not shy or hide my face away. I learned how to fight for my rights in this world. Now I know how to stand up for myself, to be compassionate, loving, to forgive and also forget. And for better or worse, these times made me the person I am today.

    • Thank you Huda for those powerful words. The hard times create inner strength which allows you to be grateful.

  • I am grateful because of my ability to love as well as my ability to be loved and to accept others into my life. I am grateful for my ability to dance, and for my good health, and I am grateful that I have no reason to complain. I get so much inspiration and empowerment from Peace Love World and I am grateful that it makes me look at life in a different way. I'm grateful for my friends, my family, and nature's beauty. I'm thankful that there are so many sources of enlightenment and inspiration on the internet and that so many people are so open to helping others out. I'm gratful for music and all that it does to keep me motivated, but mostly I'm grateful of the fact that I still have life to live, and I have a feeling that it's just going to get better.

    • Thank you is because of this type of inspiration that we continue striving to spread our message through our clothes.

  • I am grateful for yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I'm grateful for the time I've had, and the time I still have to come. It's so easy to take the little things for granted, especially in today's world, and I am grateful that I can see beyond the big things and really appreciate all that life has to offer.

    • Kaley..every moment in life is a gift. Thank you for sharing.

Plain and simple – I am grateful for my mom. She has had a hard time of it as a young mom, facing divorce, mental health issues, financial problems, a rocky start to a second marriage, but yet she has managed to raise three wonderful kids. It is because of her and the way she lived her life and raised me, that I am a strong independent woman who enjoys a healthy marriage, and great kids. My mom is 71 years old now, and has had to switch her role of wife as a partner to that of a caretaker to my stepdad, who has some major health problems. While she struggles with this, she maintains a healthy, positive, and fun outlook on her life and journey through it continuing to be a great role model for me and my kids. I have learned a lot from my mom and her life journey. She is the strongest, kindest, bravest, and wisest person I know, and I am so grateful that she is my mom.

•'re mom sounds like an amazzzzinnngggg woman. You are one lucky woman to have her. Thanks for sharing.

  • Lisa

I am grateful for people who take the time to smile, say hi, or do a small favor for others. These little actions take so little effort but create a better world for all. So for all the people who smile at a stranger, let a busy mom with a fussy baby cut the grocery line, help an older person shovel the snow from their driveway, etc.. I am truly grateful. We need more people like this in our world.

  • Garrett Marks

I think gratefulness is truly being able to see beyond all the faults that are so common and inevitable in life, and move forward and progress to better not only yourself but to help others. A truly grateful person is able to see that there is goodness in everything, you just have to look! They then can recycle all that energy they normally would spend worrying about all the bad things and put it towards bettering themselves and others! It's like the best kind of recycling!

    • Thats a different perspective…recyle the energy and transform it. Super! Thanks for sharing.

  • I am grateful for all of my family and friends. For most of my life, I have considered myself to be a happy person, nonetheless I have faced many adversities and I am grateful that my friends had the strength to stick by me and instill some courage within me. I am grateful for my family because as small as we are, they mean the world to me. If there is any group of people that are there for me no matter what, then it is them; everything from when making me food when I’m ill to driving me to volleyball matches and supporting my dreams.

    • Jaskirin, anyone who supports your dreams is a BIG gratefulness. You are lucky. Wishing you the best of luck in all your dreams and aspirations.

  • Sabrina

I am grateful just to be here today, healthy and well. Seeing Alex and Ashley leave the So You Think You Can Dance stage due to injury has been heartbreaking, and being a dancer myself, I am thankful that I can still get up without pain and dance my heart out every day.

  • Sabrina

I am grateful for being able to wake up every morning and know that I am surrounded by people who love me. I am glad that my family and friends are all healthy, and I am praying for those who are not doing as well. Cherish every moment spent with your loved ones, for you never know when they will disappear.

  • Sabrina

I am grateful for everything in my life, from my personal possessions to the people who are in my life. I am grateful that my family has not been hit as hard by the recession as it hit others, and that my loved ones are all healthy and happy. These past few years, I have learned to not take anything for granted and appreciate every moment of life. Life is too short to waste; live each day to its fullest. You never know when it'll be gone.

    • That is so true Sabrina..time in life seems short..but priceless moments with the people you love is timeless.

  • Kayla Marie

I am grateful that my mother, my autistic sister, & I have survived 10 years of domestic abuse from an alcoholic and heavy drug user. Being 15 years old, this was an extremely low point in my young life, but I am extremely thankful that my family is safe, and that we are helping others learn and prevent any type of abuse. – @kaylamariejames via twitter

    • Kayla, the strength you, your mother and sister must have gained will hopefully serve you in positive ways for the rest of your lives. Thankfully, you have each other. Thank you for sharing.

  • Kayla Marie

I am grateful that I will always have my little sister, Ilana. She is 15 years old and is on the mild side of the autism spectrum. Sure, we have our moments … Though, she has taught me patience, not to care what other people think, and what living your life to the fullest really is. Many people don't understand her and her ways of life, and I wish others would give her the chance to teach them the most valuable lessons in life. Thank you for being there, Love you Ilana <3 – @kaylamariejames via twitter.
