One of our biggest dreams is to have Peace Love World featured on the “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Well, she hasn’t quite come knocking on our door just yet, but we were thrilled to see D’Angelo wearing the “I am Chaos” black long-sleeve t-shirt on the episode airing Tuesday, March 1, 2011. You may remember Amanda and D’Angelo were the dancing duo from Miami that went on to win Paula Abdul’s dance contest show “Live to Dance” on February 10th. The episode was titled “Oprah’s All-Time Smartest, Most Talented Kids” co-hosted by Willow Smith. They danced their little socks off on the show but before they did, we caught a glimpse of their practice session, in which D’Angelo was sporting the Chaos! Best of luck to these little dancing phenoms — and keep sporting the Peace Love World! Click here to see a clip of Amanda and D’Angelo being interviewed by Oprah.
Twice a year thousands of apparel manufacturers and designers descend into the desert of Las Vegas, Nevada for MAGIC. This is when the buyers from all the stores you shop from come to buy what you will see in their stores next season. And Peace Love World is happy to have been part of it! This season we had a booth that was four times the size of our very first booth in 2009. We’ve come a long way since then! We’ve expanded not only our product categories but also added several new collections and (gasp!) COLOR! Always true to our black and white origins for our staple tees and hoodies, we added in a splash of color (okay, more than a splash) for the first of many new collections. These collections were available at MAGIC and will be coming soon to a store near you.
Love 2 Love is a collection that captures the essence of a fun and energetic consumer and channels it into chic casual wear. All of our symbols are represented including Peace, Love, Happiness, Blessed, Chaos and introducing…. Light. Each symbol is produced in it’s own array of colors including a gorgeous turquoise and a eye catching green also known as “ming.” Love it! What’s the biggest surprise of all? Yellow! Yes, this bright and happy color is found on none other than the “I am Happiness” design. It’s bright, it pops, it’s just what we need to brighten up any dull and dreary winter day. Amazing! Each piece has incredible detail from the embroidery to its signature Love 2 Love patch. Each piece also carries the Alina quote, “Love is not something you look for, love is something you become!” And what’s even better than all these new additions to our adult contemporary line? It’s coming soon in children sizes as well! Get ready to have your socks knocked off! Gorgeous!
The Boheme Collection can only be described as rugged elegance. You can wear it around town running errands, as a beach cover up, or dress it up for a special evening out. They are all in subtle colors like frost grey, blush, white, black and army green. Every piece is LOVE. Fall colors include darker tones with the same message.
Pima Cotton and Wide Leg Pants are some oldies but goodies. We’ve reinvnented these staples to be part of the Spring 2011 season by adding new colors (hello, Army!) and doing crazy things — like going sleeveless! These pants and tops can be worn together, separately, or mix it up with all your other staple pieces. Comfort and cozy is what you will get when you slide into these soft pieces for Spring. Cliick here to see the newest versions of our favorite wide leg pants.
There are so many new and exciting additions coming soon including the Boyfriend Collection, Peace Love Dreamy, Gentlemen Collection. Stay tuned as they unfold online and through our e-mail newsletters. We can’t wait to share them with you! Click here for a slide show of some of the great new styles and colors.
Hello my name is Andy and I am a suitcase that belongs to one of the employees at Peace Love World. I’m new to the traveling scene because she got me just a few weeks ago and I was surprised to feel my wheels moving to the end of the bed and see Patty (that’s my owner) start to fill me up. Patty, known for being a light packer, was loading me up with a lot of clothes, very unlike her I thought to myself…..but who cares were taking this show on the road! She threw on her new Army Green Wide Legs, she said goodbye to her husband, dashed out the door and we headed to the airport. I wasn’t sure where we were heading but after a long hop, skip and jump to the west coast we ended up in SIN CITY, also known as Las Vegas. Pulling up into the hotel I saw signs for the “Magic” show everywhere and my zippers almost melted! We were at one of the largest trade shows in the country! This is the place to be when you are a popular and fashionable up and coming brand, much like Peace Love World. From the moment we landed it was full steam ahead. The Peace Love World Team sure knows how to build a booth and quickly too. The show started on Sunday and the crowds were all over their booth! From the new Love 2 Love Collection to our signature Pima Cotton tops the overwhelming response to the brand and positive message was beyond what this crew could have imagined! From the new Peace, Love, Happiness, and Chaos buttons we were giving away to our ever popular wide silicone bracelets people were trying to get their hands on everything! I was so proud to be in their booth, although tucked away in a little corner; I felt like part of the team!
After a week of excitement I was ready to call it a week but somehow when I got off the next plane ride I wheels were FREEZING! This was not Miami weather and the Chrysler Building had not moved to Florida over the weekend. Thank goodness Patty had packed her Love 2 Love Red Fleece Hoodie and Pant inside me to keep me warm! And the beanie and scarf set she packed helped keep this native Miami girl warm! I was in the city that never sleeps, also known as New York City! I couldn’t believe that these girls still had the stamina to get through another trade show week, but boy did they show me. With only one day to set up the booth these girls flew and worked like the Peace Love World Mafia they are! The next day Patty was rolling me into Coterie, another amazing trade show at the Javits Center in NYC. For 3 days they made their mark and had just as good a show as they did in Vegas with half the staff and half the time. I don’t think I could have imaged a better way to accompany Patty on my first work trip with her. Not only did I learn that Peace Love World has some amazing clothes I also got to know the amazing crew that they have.
I am ready for my next trip, as long as my wheels get a few hours of sleep and Patty keeps filling me with all this new fabulous clothes Alina keeps making!
As the saying goes, “The way to someone’s heart is through their stomach,” which we would happily defend but we’re too busy enjoying this cookie …
Meanwhile, Peace Love World’s got something cooking at the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, currently serving up delicious dish (and not just the edible kind!) from all your favorite television chat show hosts and culinary wizards.
For the tenth year, the cable net hosts your favorite personalities like Paula Deen and Giada De Laurentiis, alongside world-class chefs (Rick Bayless, Alain Ducasse) for a three-day stint. Under the Miami sun, these gastronomic gods whip up tasty treats paired with the most delicious wines (which won’t be the only things leaving “full-bodied!”).
Maybe you can’t cook like an Iron Chef, but you can look like one: As a sponsor for this “Festival of Edible Delights,” PLW is outfitting the event’s chef talent and VIP attendees with our I am Chef Apron. Want one too? That’s easy as pie.

Check out this fun video clip from Univision’s show “Primer Impacto” where the host, Giselle Blondet wears a “I am Happiness” tank while getting a smooch from Enrique Iglesias! Yes, we believe she is Happy! And we are just a tiny bit jealous….
Last week was a whirlwind for everyone at Peace Love World as we prepared for our first showing at the New York International Gift Fair. What an experience! We were an all-women team and we got it all done (with a little help from the show staff). We had a lot of fun, and made a lot of new connections for us and for you. Hopefully some of the buyers we met will be carrying Peace Love World in a store near you! We were also inspired and hope to bring you a few new collaborations from brands you already know in the coming year.
Enjoy a few pics from our trip to New York. Lucky us, we were the only flight that made it out of Miami that day… check out that snow! See the slide show here.
