And the winner is…..

Last night on “Dancing With the Stars” the judges were passing out 10’s like candy – and much deserved!

Having just returned home from watching the finals performance live in Los Angeles on Monday night, the race was too close to predict.  William and Cheryl set fire to the dance floor with their sexy Latin number while Donald and Peta took a chance on a country song.  Who says country doesn’t pay off? Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke took home the mirrorball trophy with a country song Season 2. It was a risk that paid off when Donald and Peta were announced as winners for Season 14!

Peace Love World is proud to dress the cast of “Dancing With the Stars” each and every season.  The comfort and style are favorites of both the stars and pros.  For a re-cap of all the styles your favorite dancers wore this season, view the album here.

“Desk? What desk?! I don’t have time to sit at a desk!” – Juani Valdes

- How long have you worked at Peace Love World?
Almost two and half years now.

- What is your job title?
Peace Love Retail! I’m the Retail Coordinator for our retail stores located in Miami, FL.

Well, I pretty much visit all the stores daily and make sure they all look perfect and the same! They need to be nice and tidy at all times, have enough of the latest product, and I also make sure our staff has everything they need at the stores.

- What is your favorite PLW garment to wear?
I love to wear a white Boheme Swing top with White Wide leg pants. It’s perfect for Miami weather (when it’s not raining of course). I look and feel light and fresh all day.

- Give us your most enjoyable moment when you were at work.
I think when I’m able to leave work and feel like I’ve accomplished a lot are my most enjoyable days. I love the days when there are very few kinks and I feel like I’ve conquered all my to-dos. We have to write a daily task list and send them to our boss at the end of the day, and when I see my list is long and complete, I have a huge smile on my way home from work.

- What’s your favorite food?
Italian. I love spiced flavors and herbs. I’m all about flavor!

Because I’m helping my friend make her dreams come true. I’ve known Alina since our daughters were three years old. She’s always talked about starting this company and it’s great to be a part of it when she’s talked about it for so many years. It also inspires me to do more, give more, and to make people happy.

Last night was a girls night out at the newest rooftop restaurant in town, Juvia, with Peace Love Friend and Fan, Jill Zarin.  Jill joined Alina Villasante and me (Peace Love Boss) with a few girlfriends for a night of catching up on all the latest business adventures.  The conversation was lively as both of these entrepreneurial women dished about upcoming projects, new designs, and tossed around the idea of a collaboration. Behind-The-Scenes: PLW & The Miami Herald Photoshoot

IMG 1357 300x168 Behind The Scenes: PLW & The Miami Herald Photoshoot PLW Creator and Visionary Alina Villasante and daughter (and University of Miami undergrad) Mia Villasante took our Coral Gables shop by storm this week when the Miami Herald’s Tropical Life team came by for an in-store photoshoot.

This family affair featured two soon-to-be-released L2L Long-Sleeve Tees in Hawaiian Punch-worthy (is it it Miami Punch?) hues:  Alina sporting an intensely red I am Love number and Mia in supremely-customized turquoise. Big ups to Mia, whose car wash fringe along the bottom hem of her I am Peace Tee had the entire crew begging “Spin, Spin, Spin Around Mia!”

Lots of “LOVE” for Ricky Jaime on SYTYCD!

On this week’s Top 16 edition of “So You Think You Can Dance?” the dancers took on some of the toughest choreography this season – foxtrot, lyrical, Broadway – you name it! For our favorite Miami-native Ricky Jaime and his partner Ryan, their emotional contemporary piece carried a heavy theme of lost love. Although the rehearsals were nothing short of intense, Ricky was not losing love, but covered in it – PLW LOVE that is!

Ricky looked extra comfy wearing our Just Love Pima Organic Earth Natural V-Neck tee during rehearsals, the perfect lightweight cotton tee for fluid movement and, with a poignant, red LOVE print on the front – high spirits!

With amazing remarks from the judges, and a pass to next week’s round granted on Thursday’s elimination show, Ricky is sure to continue spreading the love on Season 8 of SYTYCD! Way to go, Mr. Jaime!

Ricky1 300x165 Ricky Jaime Shows His Peace & Chaos on SYTYCD!It’s no secret that the new season of “So You Think You Can Dance?” is already proving to be one of the most exciting ones to date – and the Wednesday-night edition of this summer staple was no exception.

Ricky4 300x178 Ricky Jaime Shows His Peace & Chaos on SYTYCD!Last night’s round was crucial, as two couples are set to be eliminated this week. First up was Miami’s very own Ricky Jaime, and his lovely partner Ryan performing a sultry, sexy Jazz routine that had even the dancers blushing!

After jokes and laughs over embarrassing secrets, Screen shot 2011 06 24 at 3.37.17 PM 300x207 Ricky Jaime Shows His Peace & Chaos on SYTYCD!Ryan & Ricky (or should we say Roderick!), jumped right into rehearsal. We were nothing short of ecstatic to see that Ricky was keeping cozy in the studio with our Love 2 Love Turk Peace Hoodie! We love the way he looks in it almost as much as we love him!

Ricky and Ryan rocked the routine, set to Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love”, and received excellent compliments from the judges!

The following night at the results show, Ricky donned the stage in none other than our Love 2 Love Ming Chaos Hoodie – a perfect symbol for what was probably going through his mind as Nigel announced he was safe for another week of the competition!

We definitely agree with Mary: we’re “addicted to the two of you” — could she have been talking about the hoodies, as well as the dancers? icon smile Ricky Jaime Shows His Peace & Chaos on SYTYCD!

Chelsea shows Mark the Love

Chelsea GMA Chelsea shows Mark the LoveToday on “Good Morning America” the final three Stars and their Pro partners were interviewed about being in the finals.  We all know it took a lot of hard work and dedication and we are excited for all the final three contestants!  This season we were thrilled to see the Stars and Pros wear our new Love 2 Love Collection during rehearsal and interviews.

After last week’s scary neck injury, Kym is back in business and doing it with Perfection, as she wears the I am Perfection fleece pants. Kym won’t be taking any dives this week but she’s flying high and hoping to win that mirrorball trophy!Kym Perfection Interview Chelsea shows Mark the LoveChelsea wanted to show Mark the love, not only by wearing Love 2 Love white Love fleece pants but she brought out an early birthday cake for Mark (he turns 25 on Tuesday, finale night!).  Happy birthday, Mark!!

PLW logo1 Peace Love World Kids CrazeIf you had a chance to swing by the Coral Gables store on Saturday, April 9, you would have thought Justin Bieber was there shopping! The house was packed from one end to the other with the most adorable kids in town (and at least one from out of town!).

At this event we were able to meet the group of semi-finalists in the Kids Model Contest and take some test shots on our fun and kid-friendly canvas backdrop. And boy, were these kids cute! Some were shy, some were outgoing, but they all had beautiful smiles. We are still in the process of selecting the finalists but we wanted to share the photos with our fans. We know you are all excited!

Yesterday morning, Alina was featured in a segment of the local NBC morning talk show “South Florida Today” where she had the opportunity to chat with newscaster Trina Robinson about the new Love 2 Love and Peace Love Boheme collections, debuting this spring! We had two outfits from each collection modeled by the lovelies Penelope, Kayte, Sol, and Laura — including a preview of Peace Love Boheme’s Fall 2011 collection, hitting stores and the internet in September 2011.

Love 2 Love and Peace Love Boheme are becoming quick favorites everyone who spots them! Love 2 Love is now available at our local stores in Coral Gables and Sunset and will be available, along with Peace Love Boheme, online soon!
